Overview

Portward lets your staff ask Claude and ChatGPT about your company’s data. It gives you secure connections, rich context and strong governance in one place that runs in your own cloud. One gateway connects your databases, warehouses, file stores and business apps. Your admins write down what the data means, so answers follow your definitions. They decide which datasets each group may ask about. They choose which values the AI sees only as tokens, stand-ins for the real values, and which columns it may only total, average or count.

Your data, its descriptions, your rules and the record of every answer stay in your cloud. Portward never stores your data. It holds only your account, license and billing details. The AI provider sees only what your admin allows, with tokens in place of the sensitive values. If you reach the gateway through the Portward relay, the relay forwards the encrypted traffic and never decrypts it. Security explains how each of these holds.
